Last week, Alison was sitting in my Jeep while I went into Kroger. When I got back, the following devices in the Jeep were no longer working properly:

• Car computer screen was blank
• A/C wasn't blowing cold
• Radio wouldn't turn on
• Windows wouldn't roll down

After we got home, I checked out the fuses, fan belt, and battery. Everything was fine, and when I started it up again everything looked like it worked OK. Even the A/C was back to blowing cold.

The past week, I've noticed that the auto door locks and the window do not work on the front passenger side. I can control them from the driver's seat. The keyless remote will unlock the doors, but will not lock them. I think it might be possessed. Let's hope it doesn't cost me and arm and a leg to fix...

After almost a week of trouble, we've finally closed on the new house! I'll be moving stuff in today with some help from my dad. :-)

The closing date on the new house will be Friday the 12th. We'll be moving in the following Saturday morning. Needless to say, we're getting pretty excited about it. Our drywall/paint walkthrough is next Tuesday. :-)

Alison had her first prenatal office visit last week, and we were able to hear the baby's heartbeat! I captured it with my iPhone, and converted it to an MP3.

After not finding a buyer for our old house, we've decided to take up the builder on his offer to buy it from us. It's not as much as we would get from a regular sale, but we don't have to deal with any closing costs or realtor's fees. We have a contract with the builder now, so they're going to finish up the new house (they had been holding off waiting on us to get a contract.) They're going to try and finish by Friday, September 5th. If they're done, we'll close that day. If not, we'll close the following Friday. It's 8-15 days away, so we should probably start packing some things up this weekend. We have been waiting to get into our new house, and that day is finally coming!
